Do I need a user name and password to access wholesale prices?
You need to register to view wholesale prices, however you chose your own user name and password, there is no need to contact us.
What is VAT?
VAT is “Value Added Tax”; this tax runs at 20% of the value of goods, very similar to sales tax in the US. The good news for US customers, and any other country outside the European Union, is the British Government doesn’t charge you VAT, and after you place your order, you will see the VAT box is empty.
Do you have a minimum order?
Our minimum order to the US is $250, this is quite high compared to the UK and Europe, however due to the fact the goods have to cross the Atlantic, we have found it is uneconomical for the customer to order less than $250.
How much is Shipping?
Shipping can vary a great deal depending on the goods you order, for example if you order $1000 of wind chimes the shipping will be quite low, however if you order $500 of garden statues and furniture (i.e. heavy and bulky items) the shipping will be high.
If you are worried about placing an order, without knowing the shipping costs, remember we will email you with the cost of shipping before we ship the goods, if you are not happy with the cost, you can cancel the order and we will not debit your card with anything.
Are there any taxes to pay when I accept delivery of the goods?
Sometimes US customs will charge taxes on goods imported, although it seems to be fairly infrequent, if you do get charged tax it will be around 6%, although if you have a Tax ID, you should be able to claim it back.
What do we do about breakages or damaged items?
We sell giftware, so it is inevitable that the odd piece of merchandise can get broken in transit. If this happens please email us within 14 days of delivery with your order details. firstname.lastname@example.org
What are "cm's" - and how do I know what that is in inches?
Centimetres (or "cm's") are roughly half the length of an inch (actually there are 2.54 of them to the inch).
